Rachel and Volvo

We took Rachel to the airport yesterday morning around 4:30. What an ungodly hour. I hate that we won't get to see her for another couple of years. We would love to visit in New Zealand, but we have so many other people to visit first. The kiwi's will have to wait!

As of Saturday the Volvo was officially for sale. A few people inquired via phone and email, but the winner was my friend Lauren. Good offer and most likely to take good care of it. Plus, I'll still be able to ride around in it with her. It is my favorite car of ours, after all.

This past weekend was AMAZING! Rachel and I went down to Monterey, VA to my parent's cottage to relax in the mountains and have fun. My mom came with us, which was great, and we spent our time looking through little shops and soaking in some natural hot springs.

This is a picture of the baths from the outside. The temperature of the water is about 85-90 degrees and is in constant movement. It was so fun. People can go skinny dipping if they want to too. It's separated by Men and Women (after 12p). Before then it is Family Time. Mom and I started doing sommer saults and the 3 of us were giggling. We got shushed by the angry towel passer-outer for being too loud, although we were the only ones in the water!

We played Mah Jong in the evening and drank wine and had a great quiche meal. Rach and I took a walk up to the cemetery and talked about our respective paths in life and where we thought we would go next.

Overall, it was one of the best weekends I have had. Marc and Cyn might meet us there this fall for another dip in the baths and some quality time in Monterey!

I'll update later this week as our anniversary approaches!
