Dictated to Claire:
I thought I would offer some advice to anyone with a dog. Tonight Charlie pulled Brooke which was a disaster. Unfortunately, I never taught her the technique for loose leash training. I worked on it again with the dog today and found that it worked better than ever. In fact, I think it would work for any dog. The trick is to start with a 3 foot leash and hold it by the loop in LEFT hand and loosely in the RIGHT hand. This way when the dog pulls away from you, your hands are pulled together. The closer your hands are to each other, the slower you move. The dog figures out "real quick" that he's only going to go somewhere if he stays by your side. If he jets away from you suddenly- just lean back and your hands will slap together and stop him cold...no matter how big he is. Anyway, just thought I'd give that advice to those who need to walk a dog, or might like to.
Now, pictures from Claire.

Haltis and gentle leaders work great too.
