Lucy J- one month

It's hard to believe that a month has already gone by since Lucy was born! 

She is a much better sleeper and nurser than Karl was at this age. I hope it continues! We get a long stretch of about 5 hours and then she's up every 2-3 at night, but is happy to nurse and go straight back to sleep.

She's a good napper, but prefers to sleep on a chest rather than on the bed. 

Karl has adjusted to his new baby very well.
He loves to help change diapers and shows her all his favorite things.

We've only had a few scares with Karl and Lucy- like when he decided to build a fort of pillows around her and she ended up with one on her face...or he tried to get her to stop crying by covering her mouth with his hand.  Overall, he is very gentle and loves being around baby Lucy.

Karl wants to do things just like Mommy. When we first had Lucy he offered to nurse her by lifting up his shirt...he didn't understand why only Mommy could do it. Just yesterday we made him a baby carrier so he can wear his favorite animals.

Lucy and Karl gave me a great Mother's Day- a sleep in, pancakes, lunch out and a nap with Lucy,
